The Return (1930, 35mm, silent, B / W) is the first Costa Rican fiction film. Directed by the Italian A F Bertoni, it was produced by Mario Urbini with Costa Rican resources. Also, it was photographed by Walter Bolandi, it is based on an original script by Gonzalo Chacón Trejos and the entire artistic cast was made up of Costa Ricans.
