K-BOB STAR turns a Korean grandmother into a fictive K-pop icon. The film combines pop culture with personal stories and interrogates concepts of age, work and femininity. The film uses performance and re-texted and reinterpreted songs to crack stereotypes and opens new perspectives on generations and identity.
